An installation made at Bang & Olufsen's store in Gothenburg with a focus on using an otherwise uninspired surface and making it a source of interest.
Drake Solutions defined a potential marketing area for Bang & Olufsen’s store on Avenyn in Gothenburg. An unused, inaccessible window above the entrance to the store. Drake Solutions contacted Vinile Nordic to get help with a quality product in the form of a transformative projection surface and an assembly that breathed the prestige required for the project.
Project manager Christian Drake from Drake Solutions turned to Vinile Nordic to find a solution that enabled the features needed to be able to create the effects that the installation required and get an assembly that lived up to the store’s image and clientele.
The window where the Vinile Nordic projection surface is used is not only a surface where B&O professional commercials are displayed, it also offers the opportunity to expose B&O’s own products by making the projection surface completely transparent.
The installation creates a vibrant and flexible solution where the customer himself creates interesting effects with his media by controlling both the projector, projection surface and lighting in the window via the cloud-based media player. For maximum image power, this setup uses a short-range laser projector of 4500 ANSI lumens that provides good effect even at dusk.
An installation made at Sparbankens Arena in Lidköping. The customer needed an information display to continuously update visitors with information.
A number of possibilities were evaluated, including monitors, but it was found that Vinile could provide a perfectly matched surface over a window section in a very cost-effective way. As an extra bonus, you have the opportunity to use the surface as a regular window without a lot of hassle.
Austman Consulting developed a suitable Vivitek Laser 7000 ANSI projector for the purpose and made an automation where the surface becomes projectionable when the projector is started. In this way, the wear on the projector is reduced and you do not have to start up the system yourself, which is done automatically from the signage system where all scheduling and image management takes place. In addition to text, images and videos, current news information is also displayed as a scrolling banner at the bottom of the image area.
